Mario’s of Boca’s massive portions of great homemade Italian food and pizza, are delivered hot, fresh, and fast, thanks to their POSitouch system. Located in the Holiday Inn, 1901 N. Military Trail, Mario’s of Boca has 375 seats, handles all the food and beverage for the hotel, and delivers about 100 orders a day.
Mario’s of Boca will be celebrating their 20th anniversary next year. A long time Pinnacle customer, they started using POSitouch in 1994. In March of 2003, when Mario’s moved to their current location in the Holiday Inn, they re-evaluated their POS needs. Mr. Sande Weinstein, Operations Manager said, ”We chose to stay with POSitouch because it is the most user friendly system. All the pieces we need for our large delivery business and our full service restaurant are included. With other systems you have to buy individual modules.”
In addition to the table service and delivery features of POSitouch, Mario’s of Boca uses gift cards and the PMS integration function to bill restaurant checks to hotel guest rooms. They also use the Time and Attendance feature, which is currently being interfaced to their accounting system.
POSitouch is being used at both Mario’s of Boca and Mario’s Tuscan Grill. With 2 more restaurants planned to be opened in late Spring, 2005, they will be looking to implement the POSitouch enterprise solution and integrated digital video surveillance systems.
Sande believes that POSitouch has improved their cost control. He said, “It helps quantify the value of different dishes and the revenue per dish. We can analyze new items. The payroll information helps with overtime projections and scheduling staff.“ He is also very satisfied with the support from Pinnacle. “We have had great response time and the turnaround time for service calls has been very successful. We have no complaints.”
Sande further explained, “Without a partnership between us and our POS provider, neither would be successful. The reason we teamed up with Pinnacle over the years is because of the great people, great support, and great product.”
