When it comes to serving quality food, Frank and Wendi Rosano are doing something right. Their first restaurant, Rosano's, won the Reader's Choice Award for Best Italian Restaurant in Coral Springs. Their second successful restaurant, Cuccina Rosano, opened in Delray Beach in 2003. They were again recognized with the opening of their third restaurant, Villa Rosano, in September 2004, winning the Best New Restaurant in Boca honor by Reader's Choice in the May/June issue of the Boca Raton Magazine.
Frank has been in the restaurant industry for more than a quarter century. Originally from Italy, Frank started by washing dishes in the Bronx, in New York. He is still 100% hands on floating among all three restaurants. Wendy supervises the staff, does the bookkeeping, and all administrative work. All the restaurants have the same menu, offering a contemporary Italian style, together with traditional family recipes.
For the first restaurant, the Rosano's selected Micros for their POS system. Frank explained their decision to change to POSitouch for their second restaurant. “We wanted a POS system that was friendlier and quicker that Micros. We saw the POSitouch system at the Florida Restaurant Show in Orlando and it was exactly what we were looking for. It was a little rough when we started out, but it was straightened out and we chose to continue with POSitouch in our third restaurant.”
Frank says he likes the features and the efficiency of POSitouch. The easy training is very significant with over 100 employees. Frank and Wendy are now looking at installing digital video surveillance system in both Cuccina Rosano and Villa Rosano.
