In June, Teresa and Cahir O'Doherty celebrated O'Doherty's Irish Pub's first anniversary, bringing a taste of their native Ireland to St. Cloud, Florida. The combination of Teresa's extensive restaurant experience and Cahir's successful entertainment career has resulted in a fun establishment with traditional Irish food, full liquor service, and live traditional Irish entertainment. Cahir started as a rock and blues singer in Ireland and soared to success with many number 1 records. He also starred in “Jesus Christ Superstar” and “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. He has been on the Irish folk song circuit in the U.S. for over 20 years singing bawdy Irish drinking songs. He entertains at O'Doherty's the first week of every month.
Teresa worked with POSitouch during her 5 years managing Columbia Restaurant's Celebration. When she opened O'Doherty's Irish Pub, she knew her preference was POSitouch and Pinnacle.
O'Doherty's also has the digital video surveillance system from Pinnacle. Its benefits were realized 6 months after they opened when they had a break-in. Although the cameras were disconnected by the thief, an ex-manager, they were able to get a picture from a camera the fired manager had forgotten.
Teresa is also very satisfied with Pinnacle's support. She said, “The sales personnel have been very receptive to helping us learn the inventory system and the technical support staff has fixed our problems. I would highly recommend that restaurant owners have an annual maintenance contract. If there is a POSitouch problem, we don't think about it, my staff and I just call Pinnacle. The peace of mind from having the maintenance contract is worth the cost.
