eat drink and be merry at taverna Opa

With over 30 years in the restaurant industry, Peter Tsialiamanis is the man behind one of the fastest growing and highly successful restaurant concepts in South Florida. Taverna Opa, nestled on the Intracoastal Waterway, in Hollywood, FL was founded in 1998. Giorgio’s Grill was the first business opened by Tsialiamanis, on the adjacent property in 1996. Since that time, the “Drinks, Meze and Celebration” slogan of Taverna Opa has expanded to other locations in South Beach, Ft Lauderdale and Orlando.

Walking into Taverna Opa for the first time, you are immediately greeted by a friendly staff. The upbeat ambiance is second only to the cleanliness of the bar and dining areas. A full bar compliments the extensive Greek/Mediterranean menu while live music and belly dancing are entertaining you. Tsialiamanis chose the 5000 square foot Hollywood location for its potential and its central location between Miami and Palm Beach. Featured by Rachel Ray on the Food Network’s $40 A Day, as well as, Deco Drive; Taverna Opa has been named “Best Greek Cuisine” by the Best of Boca for the past three years. Peter wants people to remember Taverna Opa for its great food and fun atmosphere.

According to Sophia Theodore,Operations Manager for Taverna Opa, lamb chops are one of their most popular items on the menu.
