Owners of Anna Vincenzo’s Restaurant Italiano received a treat this month when Chef Gordon Ramsey visited their restaurant to tape an upcoming episode of Kitchen Nightmares on the FOX network. In each episode, Ramsay visits a restaurant and acts as a troubleshooter to help improve the establishment in just one week. Using his trademark mix of abrasive tell-it-like-it-is straight talking and inspirational leadership, Gordon coaxes and crow-bars the restaurants’ owners, chefs, and kitchen brigades into adopting a radical new approach he’s confident will turn round the fortunes of each restaurant in just one week.

The traditional Italian restaurant, open for 10 years, got the opportunity to transform their restaurant from top to bottom as Chef Ramsey remodeled the inside of the restaurant and revamped the entire menu. The new menu features a signature pizza of the Miami Dolphins Pizza, which has an array of meats.

Anna Vincenzo’s had a grand reopening on July 16th, 2009. The grand reopening featured pizza-making contests where members from the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat and Florida Panthers put together a pizza in three minutes, with the restaurant's owners judging a winner.

As a transplant from Minnesota, I joined the Pinnacle staff in 2008 from the banking industry. I had worked in the restaurant business for many years before getting into banking and just wasn’t satisfied with my career choice. Helpful Hints for POSitouch & Dinerware

POSitouch: If a credit card is swiped and sits on the sending screen, it is an indicator that there is no communication with the processor. Check the internet and if it is down reboot your router and back office computer. Upon reentering the system, if the check says “busy”, do an immediate system change.

Dinerware: If your printer is not working, verify it is adopted by the correct workstation. To do this, go to “Manager Screen” and choose “Printers”. Locate the printer that is not working and verify it is adopted to print at the correct station. A printer can only be adopted at one location, so make sure it is not adopted at any other terminals.
