Nestled on the breezy Intracoastal waterways of Gulf Shores, Alabama, LuLu’s at Homeport Marina is home sweet home to celebrity chef Lucy Buffett. Serving over 103,000 burgers a year and more than 64,000 Margaritas, LuLu’s offers a full menu including grass-fed Alabama beef burgers to shrimp, oysters and homemade hushpuppies and onion rings. Guests enjoy live music every night of the week, and a signature beer exclusive to the restaurant, LuLu’s Crazy Sista Honey Ale brings visitors from all over the country.

In business since 2000, LuLu’s keeps a full calendar of events, listed on the website. From hosting Stars Fell on Alabama, a charity fundraiser through which they have been raising a minimum of $10,000 for the Alzheimer’s foundation; to “Sandcastle Cinema,” screening movies on the beach for kids to enjoy every Saturday and Sunday evening, LuLu’s always keeps kids and family in mind, providing fun for all ages. This Halloween season there is a Haunted House built by kids for all ages, with an area for older kids and adults to hang out while the young ones play Halloween games. Proceeds from the Haunted House events go to the art departments of local schools.

Employee Spotlight - Dale Krack

Assistant Manager of the Fort Lauderdale Service department

Dale Krack has been with Pinnacle for eleven years. Dale has 29 years’ experience in the service industry, working on anything from mechanical typewriters and calculators to mainframe computers for nationwide networking services. He has performed as a field technician as well as a service manager. The most enjoyable part of his work is fixing problems that require his varied experience in troubleshooting. Dale has an Associate’s Degree in Electronics, as well as various certifications from several manufacturers on their equipment. He also has a General radio telephone license from the FCC.

Helpful Hints for POSitouch & Dinerware

POSitouch Tip: To increase the lifespan of your terminals, their ventilation systems must be considered. Make sure they are at least four inches away from the wall and free from clutter.

Dinerware Tip: If an employee is using a terminal with a cash drawer attached, make sure they assign themselves to the drawer or it will not open.

iControl Tip: Employees can view their work schedules via the internet. Set up a user in iControl with view-only access to schedules. Then give log-in information to each employee. They can access iControl to see their schedule from anywhere they have internet access. This eliminates the “When is my next shift?” calls. Employees may also view their co-workers’ schedules when they want to pick up or cover a shift.
