Famous Alabama BBQ Chooses POSitouch

Full Moon Bar-B-Que has a history of delivering great Southern-style BBQ to its customers. The concept began with the Maluff brothers, David and Joe, who purchased the original restaurant in 1996 and have since expanded the chain to eight locations throughout Alabama. The family-owned restaurant continues to serve BBQ made in the time-honored, traditional way – with quality meats cooked slowly over a hickory wood-fired pit and spiced with Full Moon’s award-winning BBQ sauce.

The restaurant features a large menu selection of Bar-B-Que pork, chicken, Black Angus beef brisket, hickory smoked turkey, smoked pork links, ribs, catfish and dozens of trimmings including their famous Chow Chow, a spicy sweet relish that’s a staple in Southern kitchens. Full Moon’s Famous Slaw has been named “100 Things to Eat in Alabama Before You Die.” It’s no wonder the popular eatery has been featured in magazines like Bon Appétit and Southern Living! With homemade food served with a touch of true Southern hospitality, the award-winning Full Moon Bar-B-Que guarantees an enjoyable experience.

POSitouch Helps an Alabama Local Favorite

Rosie’s Grill in Daphne, Alabama is a local’s favorite on the Eastern Shore. The eatery offers a homey, friendly feel with lots of character. Owner Harry Johnson traces his restaurant roots back to 1980, when he opened the now-legendary Winslow’s restaurant in Fairhope. Johnson then ran the Pelican Pointe Grille, and eventually took over the BlueGill restaurant in 1998. It was then that Harry Johnson wanted to move to higher ground and open an operation where he could showcase his recipes he’d learned over the years – and Rosie’s Grill was born, named after his long-time chef Mama Rose Garza and her daughter Rosalinda.  “It’s like we’re coming back full circle after 30 years,” Johnson said in an interview with Alabama Live.

Although Rosie’s Grill is a relatively new restaurant, its ambiance and menu carry years of local history. For example, the eatery serves up Johnson’s famous “Garbage Burger” with a mountain of fixings like bacon, avocado, mushrooms, onions, cheese and jalapeno peppers. The menu features house specialty fish tacos, made with flat-iron grilled, lightly seasoned mahi mahi served with pineapple salsa. Other old favorites like the T-Bird sandwich, Rosie’s Club, Huevos Fajitas and French toast make up the large menu selection. Rosie’s Grill brings Harry Johnson’s legacy to customers at a new venue.

Rosie’s Grill takes customer service seriously, and they’ve installed POSitouch restaurant POS provided by Pinnacle Hospitality Systems.
