Jack’s Family Restaurant was Alabama’s first fast-food restaurant chain that opened in 1960 in Homewood, Alabama as a walk-up hamburger stand. The original menu started off with simple, fifteen cent hamburgers and fries and twenty cent shakes. Thus the legacy of Jack’s began.
