Longboat Key Seafood Restaurant Uses POSitouch

Longboat Key is a relaxing South Florida escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Visitors come from all over for the gorgeous beaches, warm weather and inviting atmosphere. Vacationers can also take advantage of the unique local restaurants, like Moore’s Stone Crab. Moore’s serves a wide variety of fresh seafood dishes daily.

Moore’s Stone Crab is the oldest seafood restaurant under the same ownership in Manatee County. Moore and Hicks opened the restaurant in 1967, and have used hand-built traps since they started operations. “Our boats work the traps each day from October 15 to May 15 to bring in fresh crabs for the restaurant. The claws are carefully removed and the live crabs returned to the waters to regenerate new ones,” says the Moore’s Stone Crab website. Choose from any of Moore’s cooked-to-perfection dishes, including fresh grouper, oysters on the half shell, a variety of fried seafood platters or Moore’s signature stone crab. One TripAdvisor reviewer says, “Be sure you have a cup of lobster bisque. My husband and I both agreed it was the best we’d ever tasted!” Enjoy your meal on Moore’s dock with a gorgeous view.

In addition to dining in, you can order Moore’s stone crabs online, and have them packed and shipped out via Fed Ex Next Day Air. Manatee County’s oldest seafood restaurant chose Pinnacle Hospitality Systems for their point of sale solution. Using POSitouch for restaurants allows servers to spend more time with guests, fostering a feeling of familiarity that keeps diners coming back for more – “Barb the bartender saw us walking into the room and surprisingly greeted up by our names. Wow!! It had been 5 days since our last visit. She also remembered what we drank. After serving our drinks and inquiring about our visit to Longboat, she again introduced us to everyone at the bar,” reviewed Douglas B. on TripAdvisor.
