Cowboy’s Bar-B-Q and Steak Company was started by Jim McCoin in Okeechobee, Florida in 2008. Earlier this year, he opened two more locations in Florida, in Fort Pierce and Sebring. “We plan to open at least two a year,” McCoin said. He has most recently opened a new location in Stuart, Florida. This rapidly growing restaurant chain offers patrons a fun atmosphere to dine, with photos of local cowboys hanging on the walls and NASCAR and NFL promotions happening nightly.
Just as the name states, the restaurant offers classic barbeque chicken, ribs and sandwiches as well as steaks including a special 32-ounce “Big Daddy Style” porterhouse. Owner Jim McCoin is renowned for his award-winning barbeque recipe. He received the highest score given by the Florida Barbeque Association for his brisket recipe. McCoin ranked top 5 in the American Royal competition in Kansas City, Kansas and won the “Best of the Best” Invitational Cookoff competition in Douglas, Georgia. Cowboy’s provides an atmosphere of great food and Southern hospitality while celebrating the cowboy heritage!
As for entertainment, Cowboy’s features karaoke, Ladies Nights and live music on Thursdays and Saturdays. Cowboy’s full bar serves drink specials like dollar drafts on weekends, 25-cent drafts during NFL Monday Night Football games and 50-cent drafts during NFL Sunday Ticket games.
In order to keep up with the bustling business and multitude of drink orders, Cowboy’s Bar-B-Q and Steak Company uses POSitouch restaurant POS. The restaurant POS system processes credit card transactions and helps bartenders charge orders to tabs quickly and easily. Owners use the restaurant management POS to create work schedules, track inventory and analyze labor costs. In order to keep track of profits and prevent profit loss, it is crucial to rely on a restaurant POS.
