POSitouch Helps The Hitching Post BBQ in Hialeah, Florida

The Hitching Post BBQ Restaurant is the only restaurant in South Florida that serves barbeque made in a pit. As “the Original BBQ Pit since 1954”, The Hitching Post still slow smokes the old-fashioned way using wood coals and smoke to create the ultimate BBQ taste. The signature hickory taste is found in their delicious, mouth-watering baby back ribs, chicken, pork, steaks and specialty sandwiches. Guests have been calling The Hitching Post the best BBQ in town for decades.

One reviewer on Restaurant Row calls it “real BBQ cooked with hickory wood (you can see the pallets of wood out back)…I love the fact that the owners are trying hard to keep the traditional fare alive. The dinner for two is a veritable feast which 3 to 4 people can enjoy. Dinner rolls, cole slaw, corn on the cob, baked beans, french fries and onion rings come with ribs, sliced beef, sliced pork and chicken. All for $28. Great deal, good food! Nice and friendly service.”

The Hitching Post offers great food for dine-in, carry-out and full service catering. To help with its business functions, they have signed up to use POSitouch restaurant POS provided by Pinnacle Hospitality Systems. The restaurant POS software is great for processing credit cards and splitting multiple checks with ease. It’s easy to start a customer loyalty program using the customer database feature on the POS system for restaurants. Managers like the cash register POS because they can also create work schedules, track inventory and pull sales reports to analyze how their business is doing.
