Fast paced may be gaining momentum as technology evolves to accommodate even faster methods of order taking, and the hospitality industry is picking up on what is being put down.

Polls suggest that customers are not only interested in alternative forms of placing orders, but prefer them.  The days of ordering by fax are dwindling and soon to be overtaken by orders via internet, text messaging and hand held devices.  It is at present quite commonplace for a company to order lunches online and have them delivered, and people are catching on.

Ordering online or via text is faster, and eliminates errors associated with speaking over the phone or mishearing. This novel idea places the responsibility of order accuracy on the customer, freeing the employees to provide a new standard in service efficiency.  It is all about decreasing transaction times and customer waits in today’s high tech and fast paced frame of living.
