Hopjacks Pizza Kitchen and Taproom has been named in DRAFT Magazine’s 150 Best Bars of 2009 list. The Pensacola, Florida bar and restaurant offers specialty pizzas and more than 150 types of beer, with 36 different brands on tap. The bar boasts an impressive selection of beers from across the country, with noteworthy southern beers like Sweetwater, Lazy Magnolia and Abita – the mantra is “If we do not have a beer, ask for it, and we will work like hell to get it for you”. With excellent customer service and quality product, it’s no wonder Hopjacks is ranked as one of the top bars in the United States.
Co-owners Corey Fogarty and Joe Abston have used Pinnacle Hospitality Systems’ Dinerware POS software to manage the business functions of Hopjacks since it first opened its doors to customers in February 2008. “It’s easy to program the database ourselves. I like the software because it is a very flexible system,” says Corey Fogarty, who chose Dinerware Restaurant Solutions for its ease of use, speed and flexible reporting functions.
Designed by a restaurateur, Dinerware is a POS software system that streamlines business transactions, allowing managers and staff to make sales, track inventory, create work schedules and view reports more efficiently.
Since Hopjacks has several happy hour promotions throughout the week, the bar staff uses Dinerware to make price changes and add menu items in seconds, without leaving the floor. This year, Hopjacks is extending its draft beer selection from 36 to an impressive 101 beers on tap. The entire inventory is tracked in the restaurant POS system to ease the process.
Hopjacks opened a second location in Mobile, Alabama in 2009, and a new venue called Vinyl Music Hall is coming soon to Downtown Pensacola. All three establishments will be using Dinerware Restaurant Solutions to streamline their business.
