It's been a crazy year for data security, what with major ransomware attacks, the Equifax scandal, and wireless network security breaches targeting businesses across the globe. While cyber security has always been an important topic, businesses are increasingly worried about their data being stolen and misused. Customers looking to businesses to keep their systems upgraded, improve security features, and protect data from hackers and ransomware.
Here at Pinnacle, we want to be on top of the latest security precautions for customer financial and payment data. That's why we have taken the step to become PCI QIR-Certified, which stands for Qualified Integrator and Reseller. What this means, as stated by the PCI Security Standards Council, is that we are "authorized to implement, configure, and/or support validated PA-DSS Payment Applications on behalf of merchants or service providers for purposes of performing Qualified Installations as part of the QIR Program."
Training and certification use a lot of resources, so many smaller companies can't provide this service. When you work with a company that isn't QIR-Certified, you take a big risk for your company – they might not be aware of the latest security standards, best practices, and precautions that modern businesses should take when processing credit cards and payments.
Our team is always learning about the latest security standards for our products. This allows to us to provide expert services for our customers that handle sensitive financial data.
